Gabriella Perry
Licensed Associate Counselor
Gabriella has been providing mental health counseling since 2022 and interned for a year prior. She specializes in children’s therapy and is play trained. She is currently pursuing certification to be a registered play therapist.
With experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, sexual abuse, autism, communication barriers and family dynamics, Gabriella works with all ages.
“Coming from a person-centered approach, I believe people need an empathetic and trustworthy person to truly hear what they are saying and help them make sense of their world.”
Gabriella uses person-centered techniques to help her clients feel safe, heard, and understood. She also utilizes cognitive-behavioral techniques to provide clients with practical tools to use in their daily lives.
Gabriella recognizes the amount of anxiety, overwhelm and busy-ness people are dealing with. She finds that many don’t have time or don’t know how to relax and live in the moment. She uses the counseling room as a space where people can come and breathe, be themselves unapologetically, and at the same time find a path through the things they struggle with.
When it comes to kids, Gabriella finds they often have very little say or control over their lives. She likes to let the therapy room or playroom be a place where kids get to choose what their time looks like, while also working on struggles they may be having.
Trust & Safety
Gabriella is a calming presence and likes to create a warm, caring atmosphere. She wants people to come into the counseling room and know it is a safe place where they can be themselves without fear of rejection or judgment. People need to feel accepted for who they are. They need someone who truly listens to what they have to say.
“I’m a Christian and believe love and acceptance is what we are supposed to show to others. I’m not here to judge, but to love and accept people for who they are and where they’re at, while at the same time helping to guide them to become the happiest and healthiest version of themself.”
More About Gabriella
She’s a wife, mother and cat mom. She’s also a daughter and a younger and older sister. When she isn’t seeing patients you will find her reading, watching TV, doing puzzles, coloring, drinking coffee and attending church.
Gabriella has always been an empathetic person that people seem to trust with their stories. She didn’t know what she wanted to do for a long time, but after attending counseling herself and seeing how helpful it was, as well as learning about trauma and healing while in school, she decided helping people heal emotional and mental wounds was what she wanted to do with her life.
As a therapist, Gabriella finds it especially rewarding when something clicks in someone’s mind, or when they are able to do something they’ve been working on, and they get super proud of themselves.
“It brings me so much joy to see people work hard on healing and growing, and the pride and happiness they experience when the hard work pays off.”
